About

Hi there!

I'm Beckie, a 22 year old English Literature and Publishing graduate living in central Bath with big dreams, too many books, EDS and a wonky fringe.

I created this blog back in May 2016 as a space where I could voice my opinions, talk about things that are important to me, and to talk about the things I love. By not becoming a certain 'type' of blogger, I have managed to produce content covering a variety of subjects such as lifestyle, music, recipes and general recommendations and reviews.

I want to go into a career in publishing, potentially in journalism or magazine publishing, but my heart will always lie with books. I love everything from non-fiction works on my favourite people and their cookbooks, to novels by my favourite authors. My latest reads tend to be aimed more towards LGBTQ+, feminism, womanism, disability and sustainability.

I am a huge lover of dogs, books, music, films, history, literature, knitting and baking.
Whilst I am not currently publishing my own work I am in the process of writing a mental-health inspired prose which i am aiming to self-publish and release early next year. I am doing this in the hopes of illuminating many to the struggles that face working-class kids moving out of home in a  time of economic instability, living with a disability at a young age, and trying to pursue passion in a world seemingly unable to accept young creatives.

If you have any queries about any collaborations, potential experiences or opportunities, or just want to say hello then head on over to my contact page. I look forward to hearing from you!
